The Five
College Linux User Group began in the fall of 2000. It is a
derivative of the Hampshire College Linux User Group which was
initiated in the fall of 1999. The FCLUG supports and encourages
software including GNU/Linux, the BSD's and other Unix operating
systems and projects on any platform. Anyone in the community is
welcome to join.
News and Events
Tuesday, Septermber 18, 2001 First Meeting! Come to
Hampshire College, over to ASH 221, also known as the Clubhouse, at
8pm on Thursday, September 20. We will be discussing
the InstallFest, meeting all the new members, and eating free

Friday, September 14, 2001 The Demo Day is over. We
gave a way a number of CDs and talked to a lot of people who were
interested. If you couldn't make it to the Demo Day but are still
interested, email turambar@yukidoke.org for
information and to get a free CD. If you got a CD but don't know
where to go from here, go to our new
users page.
Wednesday, September 12, 2001 The
Hampshire College Linux Demo Day will be Friday, September 14,
2001, from 12 noon to 5pm, at the Library Lobby/"Magic Screen." Here is more information.
Monday, August 6, 2001 We are working hard at
getting everything set up and operating smoothly for the beginning
of the school year. To begin with, we have been developing the Dorm
Networking HOWTO for incoming students and new GNU/Linux users.
We have also been getting the foundations of a comprehensive Demo Day plan ready for when students
arrive.
